The United Arab Emirates is the only federal state in the Arab world with ambitious aspirations concerning the United Nation’s Strategic Development Goals, and it intends to become the world leader in achieving Sustainable Development Goals(SDG). The UAE has chosen and carried out a wide range of strategies, programmes, and initiatives while travelling along this road.

One of the world’s fastest-growing nations is the United Arab Emirates, particularly in urban centres like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where immigration is causing a sharp increase in the population. While the  Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC ) is frequently criticized for its excessive use of natural resources, its role in climate change and its slow progress on the SDGs, some of its member states have recently demonstrated their commitment to the cause.

The United Arab Emirates economy is transitioning from one that is centred on the extraction of oil to one that uses alternative energy sources and other cutting-edge technology. Scholars believe this transition will have a positive impact on the implementation of SDG goals, especially in the health sector of the region.

Lower levels of government also have issues with everything from coordination to actual execution, despite the fact that the highest level of government is unanimous in its commitment to and support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. As a result, the goal of this study is to offer a critical analysis of the challenges and potential advantages linked to reaching the SDG within the UAE Healthcare System.
