You are required to produce a Service Improvement Plan, based on an aspect of professional practice or patient care. You must use the published literature available through a literature review to embed the service improvement plan. The change theory will help structure how the service improvement plan can be implemented in the clinical setting. An action plan identifying the service improvement plan will need to be submitted within the appendices of the essay.
This assignment provides students with opportunities to reflect on the potential for innovation and service improvement. It enables students to develop new approaches to care management in order to make evidence-based best nursing practices, a local reality.
This assignment will portray the current situation from pre-change to the envisaged new and improved situation
Students will have the opportunity to submit two pieces of formative work to their personal tutor to gain feedback and advice prior to submission
Guidance Resources:
In preparation for the submission during the theory weeks, there are sessions delivered by the librarians on literature searching and study skills plus one level 6 academic writing. It is strongly advised that students look at these sessions again to help them prepare for the final summative submission.
Furthermore, in week one of the module, the assessment guidance was discussed and a narrated PowerPoint can be found in week one resources, under the page titled “assessment”.
