Task 1

Analyse the different ways in which tenses are formed and used in English grammar. (To pass this assignment, you must remember to ‘analyse’ ways tenses are formed and used. The word count is not high, so a general focus is fine or on a couple of tenses as an example). So, not just say how they are formed, but also a deeper answer, for example, why we use tenses and/or what it would be like if we didn’t have tenses and their different forms). Maximum 150 words

You must cover a minimum of seven standard English punctuation from the following list:

NOTE: Make sure you compare informal and formal use of the punctuation you choose, for example: In formal writing full stops are used consistently to end a sentence, whereas in informal writing full stops can be omitted, particularly when texting or instant messaging. (Please do not use this example in your answer). Maximum 200 words

In this assignment you will need to show understanding of teacher and student roles.

In your answer you must include:

Here is an example: ‘interrupt politely and effectively’ Interrupting students in class can come across as rude. However, sometimes it is necessary to show our students how to clarify a point or to contribute to a discussion in a polite manner. Phrases such as “Excuse me, may I say something” can help to signal that you are not disregarding the speaker’s thoughts but adding to the conversation.
