To complete this assignment, you are required to prepare a report outlining the areas requested in the background given.

This report should consist of two main parts of 500 words each (plus or minus 10% leeway), in respect of the various areas looked for:
a) Outline your understanding of Money Laundering and the regulations in place to prevent such activities. Illustrate the developments in respect to Countering the Financing of Terrorism and the role of FATF in this process, giving some background into how it operates and what it’s mandate is.

b) Outline the process used when calculating Multi Lot CDSC and clearly illustrate and explain the workings involved whilst correctly calculating both the final CDSC and the Redemption Value that would apply using the Test Transaction Data given. Explain why funds would use such a mechanism and any alternatives that they may consider. The answer should be easy to understand and laid out in both a prose style and showing detailed calculations where
appropriate. Tables setting out figures and their supporting calculations are not sufficient. Please ensure that your report is well‐presented and written in a way that will clearly and concisely identify the relevant issues
