1. Define a type of sensor (and if applicable, state the transducer used within the sensor) that can be used to measure the process parameters of the system as depicted in Figure 1 above. The parameters to be measured are as follows:
a) Pressure at the top of the vessel
b) Flow rate in the upper and lower ducts
c) Temperature at the upper and lower ducts
d) Level in the pressuriser
Then, describe how each of the defined sensors and transducers function.

3. For two of the sensors defined in task 1, explain the types of signal conversion or conditioning that may need to be considered to ensure that the sensor outputs are converted into suitable controller inputs.
