3. Discuss the differences in the trapezoidal and rectangular sections designs and advantages and disadvantages of adopting earthen and concrete. (1 mark) Sprinkler sytem
4. Design/ estimate the sprinkler system for the following showing all the calculations/ equations required
a. Calculate the water application rate in mm/hr, the irrigation time in hrs for GWR of60mm
b. Estimate flow in lateral pip, size of lateral and upstream and downstream pressure head in last lateral
c. Flow in manifold, size of manifold and upstream and downstream pressure head in manifold
d. Check the headloss across the whole system (from farthest end of the supply to the location of pump at manifold)
e. Size of the pump (based on flow and pressure head required from pump)
