(AC1.1) Individuals: Individual refers to someone requiring care or support; it will usually mean the person or people supported by the learner.
- Explain how active participation promotes independence in the tasks of daily living.
AC1.2) Active participation is a way of working that recognizes an individual’s right to participate in the activities and relationships of everyday life as independently as possible; the individual is regarded as an active partner in their own care or support, rather than a passive recipient.
- Describe how daily living tasks may be affected by an individual’s culture or background.
- Explain the importance of providing support that respects the individual’s culture and preferences.
- Describe how to identify suitable opportunities for an individual to learn or practice skills for daily living.
