Dominos came from humble beginnings in 1960, with just one store in Michigan, USA. Now, as the largest pizza company in the world, Domino's proudly continues its legacy of delivering great-tasting pizza to customers' doors.

Since then, the rise of several other competitors such as ‘Pizza Hut and Papa John’s’ have left their mark within the fast-food retail chain industry with sales worth approximately £3.4 billion in the UK. 

Domino’s Pizza was the leading pizza restaurant chain in the United Kingdom in 2021. However, competitors such as Pizza Hut ranked first position in 2022, resulting in Domino losing its credibility and becoming customers' second choice. 

Whilst considering the issue at hand, Dominio’s senior management devised a strategy to manage its brand reputation and stay relevant by making appropriate changes to its delivery service introducing ‘Driverless delivery and e-bikes to optimize the delivery process’ in the hopes for a successful change management implementation to drives sales. However, delivery drivers at Dominio’s are left vulnerable due to the drastic changes implemented by the head office. 

Assignment activity and guidance

• You are required to review three examples i.e., strategic, people, process of organisational change and their impact on business operations by comparing and analysing the drivers for change i.e., cloud computing, artificial Intelligence, and their influence on organisational change they have affected.
• You will make a minimum of 3 – 4 justified recommendations that would minimise the negative impact of organisational change on organisational behaviour.
• You should analyse how leadership and induvial behaviour in Domino’s can be affected by critically evaluating their long-term implications of change on organisational behaviour.
• Applying the force field analysis, you should investigate the drivers and resisting forces associated with change and how they affect and influence leadership decision-making in organisations.
